Here’s how I managed to get over 200 FPS in Black Ops 6 at 1080p with an RTX 3080
Table of Contents
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is out, and players from all over the world are jumping into the action. While the game can run on systems with a GTX 1650 or RX 470, you’ll need more powerful hardware to achieve higher frame rates.
High FPS is important in fast-paced FPS games like Black Ops 6, where you're constantly aiming, moving, and reacting. With more frames, each movement is shown more clearly and smoothly on the screen. I managed to get my system to deliver over 200 FPS at 1080p, and I’ll walk you through exactly how I achieved that.
My PC specifications
First, let's talk about the hardware I'm using. My setup includes an Nvidia RTX 3080, a Ryzen 5 5600X processor, and 32GB of DDR4 RAM. With this hardware, hitting 200 FPS in a game like Black Ops 6 is achievable. However, you won’t be able to get it straight away, as it requires some tweaks and adjustments.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 best settings for high FPS at 1080p
After extensive testing with various settings, I found a configuration that consistently pushed over 200 FPS. However, these settings come at the cost of reduced visual quality. To prioritize frame rate, I had to set certain graphics options that aren't essential for gameplay to ‘Low’. On top of that, I also disabled extra effects that tend to impact FPS.
Before changing the settings, make sure to update your GPU drivers as well. Trying to run the game on outdated drivers can cause different performance issues, including sudden FPS drops and even crashing. Also, it is important to keep in mind that while I was constantly getting around 200 FPS, it did drop below that number a few times.
Here are the settings that I recommend using in Black Ops 6 for high FPS at 1080p.

Feel free to adjust the settings to your liking. For instance, you can set some settings to medium if you want to get better visuals at the cost of around 40 to 50 FPS.
