Crimson Desert was announced back in 2019, with hype of the massive open-world adventure building ever since. Interest in the game has definitely skyrocketed in 2026, transforming it into one of the most anticipated games of the year. The game is scheduled to release on March 19; however, those who want to dive into it as soon as possible can pre-load it starting today.

Crimson Desert pre-load time on PC and console

Pre-loading will allow you to download all the game files ahead of release. This way, you’ll be able to play the game as soon as it launches. According to developer & publisher Pearl Abyss, players across all platforms (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S) will be able to pre-load Crimson Desert starting today, March 17, at 3 PM Pacific Time.

Of course, local time will be different for everyone due to time zone differences. So, to make things easier for you, we’ve put together a list of all Crimson Desert pre-load times for different regions below:

  • Los Angeles – 3 PM PT (March 17)
  • New York – 6 PM ET (March 17)
  • London – 10 PM BST (March 17)
  • Berlin – 11 PM CEST (March 17)
  • Singapore – 6 AM SGT (March 18)
  • Tokyo – 7 AM JST (March 18)
  • Sydney – 9 AM AEST (March 18)
  • Auckland – 11 AM NZST (March 18)

We’ve also added a countdown clock above, which will let you track the exact time remaining before you can start pre-loading Crimson Desert on your platform. If you cannot see the timer, it means the pre-load period is already active.

Crimson Desert file size

As for the file size, Crimson Desert is expected to be between 115 and 135 GB, so a two-day head start will be more than enough for most players. For PC players, the official system requirements on Steam list 150GB of storage as a minimum, which we can only assume includes early planned patches.

Pearl Abyss has already confirmed that there will be a Day 1 patch for the game, which will bring several changes and improvements. It’s uncertain whether this will be included within the pre-load files or if you’ll have to download it separately after the game launches, but we think it’s safer to assume the latter.
