Although Intel hasn’t officially announced the Intel Core Ultra 200H series, the lineup was leaked a few weeks ago by a leaker named JayKihn. The leak suggests that Intel is working on five new SKUs for mobile platforms, including the Core Ultra 5 225H, the lowest variant in the lineup. And now, the first Geekbench benchmarks for this model have surfaced, giving us an early look at its performance.
The new Arrow Lake 200H series is expected to succeed the Meteor Lake 100H mobile processors that were released in late 2023.
First Geekbench test of Core Ultra 5 225H
The Geekbench test was conducted on a Samsung device running Windows 11. According to the listing, the CPU has a total of 14 cores, divided into 4 Performance cores, 8 Efficient cores, and 2 LPE cores. It features a base clock speed of 1.7 GHz, reaching up to 5 GHz, with a low TDP of just 28W. During the test, the CPU achieved a peak speed of 4.87 GHz.

In the Geekbench 6 test, the Intel Core Ultra 5 225H scored 2,547 points in single-core performance and 12,448 points in multi-core. Compare that to the Intel Core Ultra 125H benchmarked in a Lenovo 21LD laptop and you’ll find it scoring 2,223 points in single-core and 11,543 points in multi-core.
This means the Core Ultra 225H delivers a 13.5% improvement in single-core performance and a 7.5% increase in multi-core performance. However, it’s worth noting that this is the first Geekbench listing for the CPU, and we may see more tests in the coming weeks that could show even higher scores.
In any case, the Core Ultra 200H series is expected to include five SKUs: the Ultra 9 285H, Ultra 7 265H, Ultra 5 255H, Ultra 5 235H, and Ultra 5 225H. Intel fans are curious about the performance of these mobile CPUs, mainly since the launch of the Core Ultra desktop CPUs fell short of expectations, with those processors failing to outperform their predecessors significantly.
It hasn’t been that long since Intel launched Lunar Lake either, its range of processors for lightweight laptops and notebooks. They have been well received in comparison, offering excellent battery life and even some decent integrated graphics for gaming.
