Intel Core Ultra 9 285K Geekbench results exceed the 14900KF in single and multi-core benchmarks

All eyes are on the Intel Core Ultra processors as more performance results on Geekbench further fuel the excitement. We saw the Core Ultra 5 228V outperforming the Core Ultra 9 185H while some processors, like the Core Ultra 7 265KF, lost in hyperthreading performance.
That said, recently, the benchmark results for the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K have shown up on Geekbench. There are two different results, and while they don't vary much, as one has a 3,450 single-core score, in contrast to the other’s 3,499, the numbers showcased overall speak to a very impressive single- and multi-core performance, especially compared to other processors.

Intel Core Ultra 9 285K appears on Geekbench
There doesn't seem to be any hardware change to warrant the varying results, as both have the same test bench specifications. They were tested on the ROG STRIX Z890-A Gaming WiFi motherboard with DDR5 SDRAM that has 6400 MT/s.
That said, this processor should most likely have 8 Lion Cove and 16 Skymont Core powering it, as shown in “Cluster 1” and “Cluster 2.” However, that isn't even the best part. When compared to the Geekbench results for the 14900KF, the 285K has better single- and multi-core performance for the most part. We say that because, in some tests, the 14900KF has slightly better multi-core performance but is neck and neck at best.
So, the laptops powered by the Intel Core Ultra 200V chips should deliver excellent performance while maximizing efficiency. Their release is imminent as they're set to launch on September 3rd, with the Intel 15th-generation processors following suit. However, with the recent instability issues with the 13th and 14th generation processors, the launch might be delayed or affected in some way.
