Earlier last week, we saw benchmarks for one of the Core Ultra 200V CPUs on Geekbench, which led us to believe that the final release might not be too far away. And now, Intel has officially announced the release date of the Core Ultra 200 V processors. As per Intel's official statement, the Core Ultra 200V lineup will be rolled out on September 3rd.
According to Team Blue, the upcoming CPUs are a breakthrough with their x86 power efficiency, improved core and graphics performance, and “unmatched AI computing power.” Looking back to those Intel Core Ultra 5 236V Geekbench tests, the processor seemed to have 17W power consumption, which aligns with what Intel has claimed about power efficiency.

New Intel-based laptops are on the way this September
Further, this lineup will be featured in thin and lightweight laptops, mini PCs, notebooks, and other handheld devices. As per some earlier leaks, the CPUs will feature Lion Cove P-Core and Skymont E-Core architectures, as well as Intel Arc graphics, all packed in an efficient SOC design. The power consumption will vary between 17W and 30W, depending on the power of the processor.
In the media statement, Intel clarified that the Core Ultra 200V CPUs would be introduced exclusive event in Berlin, Germany, after the IFA 2024. During the live-streamed event, Intel will detail the specifications and features of the processors. In fact, the CPUs will be launched during the event – on September 3rd at 6 p.m. CEST.
What’s next for Intel?
It was also established earlier that Intel's Arrow Lake processors will be released after the Lunar Lake lineup is rolled out. Even though there have been some delays, it is being said that the next generation of desktop processors will be launched on time. These will be Intel’s 15th generation of desktop CPUs, which we’re looking forward to more than ever now that the 13th and 14th generation CPUs have been having a rough time lately with instability issues.
In addition to this, there have been rumors about a Bartlett processor for the LGA 1700 socket. This CPU has been rumored to feature only Performance Cores, which would be similar to AMD's X3D CPUs.
