Intel Vision has kicked off, with new CEO Lip-Bu Tan delivering his opening keynote yesterday. Following that, we’re about to get more insight into what the company has been and/or will be working on as it looks to bounce back after a disappointing 2024. In his first keynote to the company, Tan spoke of bringing the team together and developing a culture of innovation.

The opening keynote delivered the sort of fighting talk we want to see from Intel, especially now that it has fallen well behind AMD in recent CPU sales. Now, what we want to see is action, and that’s what today’s (April 1st) Products Update should aim to deliver. We’ve already seen Nvidia explain its roadmap for AI, so there’s a chance Intel responds.

Intel Products Update & GTM takes place on April 1st

Much like yesterday, you’ll be able to tune into a live stream on the Intel YouTube channel. The update will be taking place between 9 AM and 10:15 AM, US Pacific Time – we’ve converted that into various time zones down below. The discussion will be led by Michelle Johnston Holthaus, CEO of Intel Product Group, and Christoph Schell, Chief Commercial Officer. They will be joined by guests to talk about “technologies, solutions, and opportunities” that will shape Intel’s future.

  • US Pacific Time (PDT): 9 AM
  • US Eastern Time (EDT): 12 PM
  • United Kingdom (BST): 5 PM
  • Central Europe (CEST): 6 PM
  • India (IST): 9:30 PM
  • Sydney, Australia (AEDT): 3 AM, April 2nd
  • Auckland, New Zealand (NZDT): 5 AM, April 2nd

We’re curious to see what Intel can deliver in the upcoming Products Update & GTM (go-to-market) strategy. In our opinion, Team Blue needs to think about answering AMD’s X3D processors to regain some ground in the gaming market. Similarly, there could be further focus on chips for handheld devices, a sector which AMD continues to dominate.

Previous reports suggest Intel won’t be ready to launch new desktop CPUs until 2026, with the release of Nova Lake. On the bright side, the company’s Arc B-series graphics cards have been received well, filling a gap in the market for budget GPUs. So far, these include the Arc B580 and Arc B570, though we’re intrigued to see if Intel has any more powerful cards in the pipeline.
