Apple recently launched the iPhone 18 series, bringing several upgrades to its latest smartphones. While the new models have barely had time to settle into the market, information about Apple’s future devices is already starting to surface. This time, an early leak may have revealed some of the display specifications Apple is testing for the iPhone 20 Pro and iPhone 20 Pro Max.

The information originally comes from well-known Weibo leaker Digital Chat Station and was later shared on X by Ice Universe. According to the leak, the iPhone 20 Pro could feature a 6.41-inch display with a resolution of 2686 x 1236, while the larger iPhone 20 Pro Max may use a 6.96-inch panel with a resolution of 2912 x 1340.

These would be slightly larger displays than the current Pro models, but screen size isn’t necessarily the most interesting part of the leak. Apple is reportedly experimenting with a major redesign that could significantly change what the front of an iPhone looks like. It is rumored Apple will skip iPhone 19 branding, as 2027 will mark the 20th anniversary of the original iPhone.

Bezel-less design for the iPhone 20 Pro series?

According to Digital Chat Station, Apple is testing a bezel-less quad-curved display for the iPhone 20 Pro series. Instead of having clearly visible borders surrounding the screen, the display could extend toward the frame on all four sides, potentially giving the phones an almost all-screen appearance when viewed from the front.

Exactly how Apple would implement this design remains unclear, as no actual images of the alleged prototype have surfaced. Ice Universe shared an image alongside the information to demonstrate what such a design could potentially look like. It isn’t a leaked photograph of an iPhone 20 Pro prototype; instead, it seems to be a prototype render or AI-generated to some degree.

The Dynamic Island could also become noticeably smaller. Digital Chat Station claims Apple is testing a smaller display cutout, which could allow the company to further reduce the amount of screen space occupied by the Dynamic Island.

It’s also worth keeping in mind just how early this information is. Apple has only recently released the iPhone 18 lineup, meaning the alleged iPhone 20 Pro models are still a long way from reaching consumers. Display sizes, resolutions, cutouts, and even the overall design could change significantly as Apple continues testing different prototypes.
