The iPhone SE 4 has been the subject of many swirling rumors, from its release date to whether the SE lineup will merge with the regular iPhone 16. Now, a recent rumor has surfaced, and it’s something for iPhone SE users to get excited about. These latest leaks show off a bigger display, Face ID, and the possibility of a USB-C port. The rumors also indicate that it could be moved up to a 2024 launch along with the iPhone 16.

This leak comes from 91mobiles, which shows off a CAD model of the iPhone SE 4. This model shows a huge change for the SE line, where the home button has been removed and replaced with a larger 6.1 display. This will replace Touch ID with Face ID, making the iPhone SE line look closer to the mainline iPhone series. The screen will have an added notch at the top, similar to the iPhone 14, to house the camera.

iPhone SE 4 could merge with iPhone 16

Rumors have been circulating about the iPhone SE 4 for a while now, particularly about whether the SE line will merge with the iPhone 16 line. It seems like Apple is heading in this direction, not only introducing features found on new generations of iPhones to the line but pushing up the launch to coincide with the iPhone 16. While nothing is certain yet, these rumors have been making the rounds for a while now, with different sources all giving the same info.

The more affordable iPhone models have been around since 2016 when the first iPhone SE was launched. Naturally, they provided a great alternative for those who wanted the sleek look and power of an iPhone without the hefty price tag. As more SE designs have come out, the series has continued to thrive, and it seems like the iPhone SE 4 is headed in the same direction.

If these leaks are true, seeing a significant upgrade to both the look and functionality of the iPhone SE 4 will be a huge bonus. Face ID has been a success on iPhones for years now, and an allegedly larger display would be a huge plus. If it comes out along with the iPhone 16, it will be exciting to get our hands on it and test its capabilities.
