According to Valve’s official patch notes, they’ve improved how the Steam Deck handles gyro calibration, especially for 8BitDo and FlyDigi controllers. These controllers are used by several players, and better calibration means they’ll work more accurately than before.
Another fix addresses how the gyro calibration system was rejecting noisy accelerometers. Valve also fixed a problem with the gyro and accelerometer noise meters, which were using the wrong scale to measure data. This bug may not have been visible to most users, but it could affect how feedback and calibration information were displayed during setup.
Finally, they fixed a small error that appeared when opening the activity tab for a game that none of your friends had played, but some had wishlisted. Again, it’s a minor issue, but every fix counts when it comes to improving the user experience. If you’re on the Beta channel, you can download the update now. Otherwise, you’ll need to wait for the fixes to arrive in the stable channel. We don’t know when it’ll happen, but you can expect to see a new update in the coming weeks.
