LG’s 2025 OLED certifications have appeared online, with the new models ensuring great color accuracy and consistency. The “Perfect Color” technology, verified by UL Solutions, guarantees color consistency levels of over 99% “up to 500lux”.

The certification applies to a wide range of LG’s 2025 OLED models, which will be available in various sizes, resolutions (FHD, UHD, and QUHD), and refresh rates. They are (so far) as follows:

  • LE420*Q*
  • LE480*Q*
  • LE550*Q*
  • LE650*Q*
  • LE770*Q*
  • LE830*Q*
  • LE970*Q*
  • LE770*Z*
  • LE880*Z*

What stands out for new LG displays?

One of the standout features of these new models is likely to be their glossy finish, possibly enhanced by a Super AR coating. This coating helps to reduce glare and improve the viewing experience in brightly lit environments without losing the glossy finish. The “Perfect Color” certification is significant, as it demonstrates the company’s commitment to providing consumers with the highest quality picture. The verification process conducted by UL Solutions involved rigorous testing of the TVs’ color gamut under different lighting conditions.

LG’s OLED TVs have seen pretty consistent praise for their exceptional picture quality, thanks to their self-lit pixels that offer deep blacks, vibrant colors, and wide viewing angles. The new “Perfect Color” certification for their upcoming range should only further reinforce the company’s position.

In addition to the “Perfect Color” technology, LG’s 2025 OLED displays will also feature other advanced features, such as AI-powered picture processing, enhanced audio capabilities, and smart TV functionality. These features are designed to provide a more immersive and enjoyable viewing experience.

A word on 60Hz

Any kind of person who is always looking for cutting-edge display technology probably isn’t content with 60Hz anymore. This sentiment is widely shared by enthusiasts, with one Reddit comment questioning exactly why a ‘low’ refresh rate like this is even being produced in 2025. They have a point, especially with OLED displays like this naturally catering to a high-end audience.

We’re surprised to see 60Hz mentioned in a list like this. Regardless, we’re yet to learn all the details regarding LG’s upcoming monitor or TV releases, so we’ll have to wait and see what this transpires into.
