Now that we’ve finally had the announcement from Apple debuting its new M3 chipset, we’re taking a look at one of the devices it powers with the MacBook Pro M3 release date, specs, and price. With a new chip, two display sizes, and a new Space Black colorway on our hands, there’s a lot to dig into concerning the next lineup of MacBook Pro laptops. For Apple MacBook fans or those looking for a laptop upgrade, we’ve outlined what you need to know about the specs, pricing, and release date of the new M3 MacBook to let you know when you can get your hands on it and how much it will cost you.

MacBook Pro M3 release date

Now that the next generation of the MacBook Pro has officially been launched, we’re finally able to pin it down with a release date of the 7th of November, 2023. The 30th of October event saw the simultaneous release of a newly refreshed line of All-in-One iMac computers, which are also now available to pre-launch before the shared 7th of November release day. If you’re convinced before even having a look at the specs, you can find out everything you need to know about the MacBook Pro M3 pre-release here.

MacBook Pro M3 specs

In terms of their physical design, the M3 line of MacBooks is strikingly similar to the previous generation of M2 MacBooks, although we are seeing the loss of the touch bar. However, the real differences are revealed under the hood – the performance upgrades owed to the powerful new M3 chipsets.

Built using industry-leading 3-nanometer technology, the M3 chip delivers a huge step forward in graphics architecture, quoted by Apple as the biggest ever for Apple Silicon. This allows the laptop to deliver hardware-based ray-tracing and upgraded rendering capabilities, making it better for gaming, streaming, graphic design, and other creative tasks. Not to mention, the MacBook Pro with M3 is “up to 60 percent faster than the 13‑inch MacBook Pro with M1”, and that’s just the base model. So not only does it have an improved visual impact, but it can handle more demanding workflows and at a greater speed.

However, now that we’ve got an official release date, it’s likely we’ll see some of the older generations of Apple laptops potentially sink down in price.
