Today we’ll get to see Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls launch on PC and PS5. It was supposed to arrive at the same time as PlayStation’s new FlexStrike fight stick, but that has since been delayed. Either way, Marvel Tōkon has not – and it will release today with all 20 launch characters available. Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Ultimate Editions are available to purchase.

Fighting game fans patiently waiting for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls already had a chance to play through the Open Beta a couple of weeks ago. The beta provided an early look at the fast-paced tag-team combat and online modes (along with training mode), giving players access to the majority of the launch day cast to experiment with.

When does Marvel Tokon release today?

Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls will officially launch today, August 6, at 8 AM Pacific Time. Due to time zone differences, the release time will vary depending on where you live, with several regions crossing over into August 7.

  • Los Angeles – 8 AM PT (August 6)
  • New York – 11 AM ET (August 6)
  • London – 4 PM BST (August 6)
  • Berlin – 5 PM CEST (August 6)
  • Dubai – 7 PM GST (August 6)
  • Mumbai – 8:30 PM IST (August 6)
  • Tokyo – 12 AM JST (August 7)
  • Sydney – 1 AM AEST (August 7)
  • Auckland – 3 AM NZST (August 7)

We’ve also got a countdown clock below to make it easy to track the exact hours, minutes, and seconds until launch. It will disappear once expired, so if you can’t see the timer, it means the game has already launched.

What does the game offer? Characters, content, and pre-order bonuses

Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is a 4v4 tag-team fighting game developed by Arc System Works (which also developed tag-fighter Dragon Ball FighterZ) in collaboration with PlayStation Studios and Marvel Games. At launch, players will be able to build teams from a roster of 20 iconic Marvel heroes and villains, each featuring an anime-inspired design and unique abilities. The characters are split into themed rosters, but players are free to mix and match their team as they please.

There is also a single-player Episode Mode that focuses on team stories and character relationships. On PC, the game supports 4K visuals and runs at 60 FPS during battles.
