Back in May, Newegg was running a deal that let shoppers buy Nintendo eShop credit at a discounted price. Since Nintendo allows eShop credit to be used toward hardware purchases, many users took advantage of the promotion to get the Nintendo Switch 2 at a discount before the offer was removed. Now, a similar deal has reappeared, giving buyers another chance to save.

If you head over to Newegg, you’ll find the Nintendo eShop $200 gift card listed with a special promotion. While the gift card itself isn’t directly discounted, you can apply the promo code BTSF2386 at checkout to save $26.50. This means you’ll pay $173.50 for $200 worth of Nintendo eShop credit.

The savings become even better if you purchase multiple cards. Buying three $200 gift cards gives you $600 in Nintendo eShop credit, but you’ll only pay $520.50 instead of the full amount. This can be a great option for anyone planning to make a larger purchase through the Nintendo Store, especially since Nintendo will be increasing the price of the Switch 2 on September 1.

Nintendo eShop credit isn’t limited to digital games. It can also be used to purchase hardware directly from the Nintendo Store, including the Nintendo Switch 2. The console is currently priced at $449.99, so using discounted eShop credit makes for a considerable saving. Once September arrives, the Switch 2 will be upped to $499.99 in the United States.

If you buy three discounted gift cards, you’ll have more than enough credit to purchase the console, with roughly $150 in eShop balance left over to spend on games, DLC, accessories, or other digital content.

Unfortunately, the promotion only applies to the $200 Nintendo eShop Gift Card. Smaller denominations aren’t currently included in the deal, so anyone hoping to maximize their savings will need to purchase the $200 cards instead. There is, however, one important limitation to keep in mind. Nintendo accounts have a maximum wallet balance of $800, so you’ll want to avoid purchasing more credit than your account can hold.

At the time of writing, Newegg hasn’t shared when this promotion will end. Because discounted Nintendo eShop credit tends to sell quickly and promotions like this don’t usually last very long, anyone interested should probably act quickly.
