You may remember back during the Nintendo Switch 2 launch that you could either pick up the console on its own or bundle it with Mario Kart World for an overall discount. Well, Nintendo is now expanding its selection of bundles, perhaps in a bid to keep sales going after announcing incoming price hikes, which are due later this year.

From early June, customers will be able to grab a Nintendo Switch 2 bundled with a game of their choice for $499.99. Three Nintendo titles are available to choose from: Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, or Pokémon Pokopia. Nintendo says supplies will only be available for a limited time, so it’s not immediately obvious just how long these bundles will last.

Choose Your Game Bundle announced by Nintendo

The new ‘Choose Your Game Bundle’ was announced earlier today on the official Nintendo website. In terms of value for money, the Mario Kart World bundle still offers the best savings, as the game usually costs $79.99 on its own. In contrast, Donkey Kong Bananza and Pokémon Pokopia both have a recommended price of $69.99 in the U.S.

Starting in early June, participating retailers will offer the Nintendo Switch 2: Choose Your Game Bundle for the suggested retail price of $499.99, which includes a Nintendo Switch 2 system and a download code that can be redeemed for a digital version of one select game.

As you can see above, this bundle doesn’t include a physical copy of the game – just a download code, which may be a dealbreaker for many customers. Right now, it looks like this bundle is exclusive to the United States, and we’ve not seen a similar offer being advertised in other regions.

Price hikes for the Nintendo Switch 2 will affect the United States and Canada starting on September 1, 2026. In the U.S., the console will be jumping $50, up from $449.99 to $499.99, so the upcoming Choose Your Game Bundle may be the last chance to secure a bundle for less than $500, before the price changes take effect.

Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa recently revealed that the company could have pushed its prices even higher, but decided against more severe changes in order to maintain the momentum of sales. This bundle should help contribute to that momentum even more – Western regions did also suffer a sales slump over the holiday period.
