Nvidia has recently released new GeForce Game Ready drivers that are meant to improve the day-one experience of a number of games that will be released soon. The update also fixes several bugs that were causing different issues. On top of that, the company has also released an update for the Nvidia app, which brings the latest features that were revealed during Computex 2024.

Support for three new games

To begin with, the GeForce Game Ready driver 555.99 deliver support and optimizations for three games, which include Pax Dei, Still Wakes the Deep, and the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. Pax Dei will launch with day-one support for Nvidia DLSS 3 and Nvidia Reflex, while Still Wakes the Deep will launch with support for these two, along with DLAA. The new drivers update has been released early to make sure everyone has a great experience when they dive into the three games as soon as they launch. The latest Game Ready driver also adds support for 8 G-Sync compatible monitors.

New features in the Nvidia app update

The latest update also introduces two new features to the Nvidia app. The first one is GPU Auto Tuning, which allows you to overclock your GPU with just a single click. The entire process takes around 20 minutes to complete, and Nvidia claims that your GPU will not get damaged through Auto Tuning. This is a great feature for those who previously avoided overclocking due to the risk and complications.

The second feature added to the Nvidia app through the update is support for 120 FPS AV1 video capture. This is for those who regularly record their gameplay, as it improves the overall video quality and makes it smoother. On top of that, this codec format also produces higher-quality videos without putting any extra burden on the storage.

What else?

Aside from supporting three new games and introducing new features to the Nvidia app, the update also fixes several bugs that were causing different issues. For instance, the flickering or black screen that appeared if Instant Replay was enabled has been fixed. Also, the bug that caused the FPS overlay to show NA in multiple games has been removed.
