id Software's DOOM: The Dark Ages is expected to draw many fans of the franchise back into its expansive and immersive world, now with an upgraded visual overhaul. However, early performance reviews have left players divided, especially those using 8GB graphics cards or handhelds like the Steam Deck, where the fast-paced demon-slaying action can get too demanding.

Still, amid the disappointments, there's some good news for fans of this iconic first-person shooter. Just today, the official DOOM X account announced a partnership with Twitch, offering fans a free Doom Slayer Guardian skin. Before that, enthusiasts and collectors got a surprise with a special DOOM Slayer-themed RTX 5080.

NVIDIA has already shown its support by bundling the game with select RTX 50 series GPUs, and now, it is hosting a giveaway on the official r/NVIDIA subreddit.

In the stickied comment under NVIDIA's DOOM: The Dark Ages megathread, Team Green has announced a giveaway offering five lucky winners a game code for DOOM: The Dark Ages. The entry requirements are minimal, and you just need to answer the following three questions:

• Tell us your story with DOOM franchise. Old heads and newcomers are welcomed!

Make sure to reply directly to the giveaway post and not submit your answers in the general thread, otherwise you won’t be eligible. As mentioned earlier, the giveaway is open until Friday, May 16, 2025, so make sure to get your entry in before the deadline for a chance to win a copy. That said, the giveaway includes the standard edition of the game, not the premium edition, which comes with exclusive skins and DLCs. Still, you’re getting a $49.99 worth of game for free, if you’re lucky.
