Considering the multitude of problems experienced by the RTX 50 series, it is understandable why some customers might want to stay away, at least until the issues are fully resolved. However, there is finally an excellent reason to shell out for an RTX 50 series graphics card, and it is all thanks to Doom.

For a limited time, customers who purchase an eligible graphics card, desktop system, or laptop will have the opportunity to get their hands on the Premium Edition of Doom: The Dark Ages. This edition includes a copy of the base game, along with up to two days of Early Access, Campaign DLC, a digital art book and original soundtrack, and a ‘Divinity' skin pack for your characters.

Doom: The Dark Ages is bundled with select RTX 50 series GPUs

Doom: The Dark Ages will be the eighth entry in the long-running Doom series, and is a follow-up to Doom Eternal. Though it remains faithful to its roots as an atmospheric first-person shooter, players can expect some more strategic elements in combat. The Doom Slayer gets some new features to play with, such as the slow-motion ‘Glory Kill' and the introduction of the Shield Saw to enable blocking and parrying.

Customers will need to purchase an eligible product to qualify for the offer. These products include Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti, and 5070 graphics cards, or pre-built desktop systems containing these cards. Laptops using the mobile versions of these GPUs are also eligible for the offer.

Using the RTX 50 series when playing Doom: The Dark Ages allows users to take advantage of up-to-date features such as path tracing and DLSS 4, which includes AI upscaling and multi-frame generation to improve the visuals and performance. Sadly, the RTX 5060 series is not included, despite Nvidia recently releasing the RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB and 8GB versions. That might suggest that these cards don’t have quite enough power to enjoy The Dark Ages in all its glory, but we’ll have to wait and see.

Further details on the offer can be found on the Nvidia website. Sadly, we assume that this bundle is for new customers only, leaving out those who already snapped up a 50 series GPU.
