Today, on October 11th, it has been 25 years since the release of the Nvidia GeForce 256 – dubbed the “world’s first GPU”. It was a heck of a GPU if you wanted high framerates in 1999’s Quake III Arena (which no doubt looked fantastic on an old CRT monitor).
In a new blog post, Nvidia has been taking us back through the years, explaining all the advancements it has made along the way, right up to the present – and beyond. Well, to celebrate the occasion, Team Green has announced that it’s giving away a total of three retro-look RTX 4080 Super PCs.
