Earlier last week, some new Game Pass users received 1-month PC Game Pass trial codes from Blizzard. The validity for this trial pass expired on July 24th, which coincides with the release of a new CoD Modern Warfare 3 season. So, if you don’t want to fork out $70 to play it on Steam and you already have Game Pass, you should probably just wait and see.
This sparked a new wave of online speculations about Modern Warfare 3 being added to the Game Pass. On top of that, Reddit users also suggested that more Blizzard games may be added to the subscription service in the near future. However, another development seems to reinforce this with a promising amount of certainty.
Leaker ‘confirms’ that Modern Warfare 3 will be on Game Pass on July 24th
And now, extas1s on X, who’s a well-known leaker, says he feels confident that the Call of Duty title will arrive soon. Extas1s has said that Modern Warfare 3 will be added to PC and Xbox Pass on July 24th, which is in two days.
Extas1s said that he can “now 100% CONFIRM” that the CoD title will make its way to the pass. He also mentioned that the game won’t be available for cloud iterations.
In addition to Modern Warfare 3, the Spanish leaker said that Valorant is likely to arrive on consoles – Xbox Series X and S and PS5 on July 26th. The popular 5v5 shooter has been in the beta phase for consoles for a while. However, note that this hasn’t been confirmed yet by Microsoft or Blizzard.
In any case, CoD Modern Warfare 3 has been anticipated on Game Pass for a while now. It follows Diablo 4, which was the first Blizzard game to be added to the Pass. This strengthens online speculations that Activision Blizzard might follow this trend with other notable titles in the future.
Since Game Pass will now cost more, it makes sense that more games are being added to justify the new price tag. The Ultimate tier will cost $19.99, the new Standard tier will set you back by $14.99, and the PC tier will be priced at $11.99.
