Philips launches new eco-friendly 34” curved monitor with impressive 5-year warranty

Though large curved monitors may often be associated with PC gaming, they are also great for business and productivity tasks. Philips is hoping to target the business and work-from-home market with its newly announced 34” curved monitor. It enters the market as an excellent ultrawide monitor option for productivity.
Philips has announced the launch of its new 34B2U3600C monitor. Despite its lack of a catchy name, this monitor packs some impressive features. The 34” VA LED display is curved for better immersion, and it is the first Philips monitor to be TCO certified, a mark that ensures the monitor is as ecologically friendly as possible.

The monitor has a 1440p resolution and up to 1.07 billion colors, which should provide plenty of detail and clarity for productivity of gaming. Philips says this display is particularly suitable for photos, web browsing, and demanding graphical applications, including gaming.
Those using the monitor in a WFH setup can utilise the USB-C dock, which can provide up to 90W of power delivery to power or charge additional devices. Built-in stereo speakers are also suitable for video calls. SmartKVM capability lets users switch between video sources using a single button on the keyboard.
The monitor also supports MultiView, enabling simultaneous dual connections and viewing, allowing users to see data from two different devices on the same screen. For comfort, the Compact Ergo Base can be adjusted for height, tilt, and swivel. The screen also has TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe certification and SoftBlue Technology to reduce eye strain and prevent headaches.
The monitor comes with a five-year warranty, which the company says is: “reflecting ongoing efforts to reduce the environmental footprint of electronics through product longevity.”
The 34B2U3600C monitor will be available for purchase from the end of April, with an MSRP of £359.00. It will be available directly from the Philips website or via selected retailers.
