Google’s Pixel 9 is already nearly 10 months old, and as with every flagship phone, you can expect the next generation to come a year later. As such, we’re slowly getting more and more info on what might come next, with the next phone expected to be launched at its Made by Google event. The event is expected to take place around August.

This year, we expect to hear about the Google Pixel 10, and the leaks and rumors have been sprouting as that nears. One of the biggest is the leak of the prototype Pixel 10 Pro, as shared by ravi3dfx on X. Showcasing the new design of the Pro and the new specifications it brings with it.

This model is named the DVT1.0 (Design Verification Test) and is running on Android 16, the latest but still beta version of the OS, but it is quite likely to have a full release alongside the new phone.

Google Pixel 10 Pro prototype specs and changes

Google’s Pixel 10 Pro is built with the Tensor G5 processor, which is built with a 3nm process. The Arm CPU has eight cores split across 2 Cortex-A520, 3 Cortex-A725, 2 Cortex-A725, and 1 Cortex-X4. The prototype also suggests a 2,410 x 1,080 resolution display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 16GB of memory.

The externals have changed as well. Straight away, you can notice the camera border cutting down as its glass extends closer to the pill-shaped edge on the back. We can’t say yet how much the size has changed from the Pixel 9 Pro, but relatively to the rest of the phone, it seems to keep the same stick-out bump on it.

At the bottom, the USB-C connector has cutout frills on either side of it, most likely for a speaker and microphone. Now it moves the SIM card tray to the top left edge, where the antenna was on the previous phone, as that gets pushed to the side. The top-down shot also shows the thickness of the camera, which looks to be more prominent, but that could also be the phone itself thinning down.

This is just a glimpse of what is to come, as the launch event is just a couple of months away, we can expect to hear more leaks and rumors coming about what the Pixel 10 will have to offer.
