The ROG Xbox Ally offers a stunning display, a powerful processor, and plenty of RAM, and all of them work together to provide a great gaming experience on the go. And if you’ve been thinking about picking it up for yourself, then we’ve got some great news for you – a discount price. This comes shortly after CES 2026, where Intel seemed keen to become the go-to vendor for handheld hardware with Panther Lake. Currently, many handhelds (including this Xbox Ally) are powered by AMD.
The ROG Xbox Ally normally costs $599.99 on Amazon. But right now, you can save 17% and take it home for $499.99, a straight $100 knocked off its price tag. Shipping with three months of Xbox Game Pass Premium sweetens the deal, giving you access to a library of over 200 games for free straight away. Keep in mind that the discount only applies to the standard model, as the flagship ROG Xbox Ally X is still listed for $999.99.
What does the ROG Xbox Ally offer?
As for what the handheld offers, it basically combines ASUS ROG’s powerful hardware with Microsoft’s Xbox ecosystem, which transforms the Ally into a device that is not only powerful but also easy to use. You’re free to play games from any platform that you want, including Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox, and more. It also takes you straight into the Xbox full-screen experience after booting up, so it will feel as if you’re using an Xbox console.

At its core, the ROG Xbox Ally is powered by the Ryzen Z2 A processor, which helps it deliver solid performance at 1080p. On top of that, it also offers 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM capable of reaching a max speed of up to 6,400Mhz. Storage may feel limited to some users, as it comes in the form of a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD. However, if you find yourself running out of space, you can expand it using a microSD card.
As for the display, it’s a 7-inch Full HD screen with a peak brightness of 500 nits, which means it’s usable outdoors. On top of that, the visuals are also super smooth thanks to the 120Hz refresh rate, and it also supports VRR with FreeSync Premium.
