The first batch of RTX 50 series cards was announced at CES 2025, but soon after, leaks and rumors started pointing towards the RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti, which Nvidia neither showed off at the keynote nor confirmed. However, this didn’t stop third-party sources from gathering information about the two mystery cards, and till now, we have not only seen a potential release date window but also some expected specifications for the two GPUs.

Wccftech has reportedly uncovered more details about the RTX 5060 series, and it looks like two RTX 5060 Ti models will hit shelves before the RTX 5060. Initially, we assumed Nvidia might have scrapped an 8GB version of the RTX 5060 Ti, reserving that configuration for the 5060 while only offering a 16GB variant for the 5060 Ti. However, it seems that won't be the case after all.

RTX 5060 Ti will reportedly launch in two variants

It is expected that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti will use the “PG152” board with the GB206 GPU core, but what we didn’t know is that there will be two variants. The first will be the “SKU 10,” and the second will be “SKU 15” for the RTX 5060 Ti series, with the difference being that the first model is a 16GB variant while the second model will feature 8GB of VRAM.

Both of these GPUs will have a 128-bit memory bus interface, similar to the RTX 4060 Ti, but unlike the latter, they will feature a GDDR7 memory interface. The GDDR7 memory interface would provide a total bandwidth of 448 GB/s, which is 55% higher than the RTX 4060 Ti and 65% higher than the RTX 4060.

We also previously didn’t know the TDP of both GPUs, but rumors suggested they would be more power-hungry than the 40-series. According to Wccftech, both NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GPUs will have a rated TDP of 180W, which is 20W higher than the RTX 4060 Ti 8GB and 15W higher than the 16GB RTX 4060 Ti. The cards will be available in both 8-pin and 12V-2×6 variations.

As always, it’s important to take these leaks and rumors with a level of caution. Nvidia has yet to announce both of these GPUs, but with the RTX 5070 up next on March 5th, it is expected that these two SKUs will soon follow.

RTX 5060 Ti 16GB will reportedly be the first to launch

While this isn’t concrete information, the expected launch timeframe for the RTX 5060 Ti series is said to be the second half of March, but this would only be for the 16GB model, as the 8GB model will launch later in the first half of April. This aligns with rumors of delays for the RTX 5070 and 5060 series GPUs, with production affected by performance issues and the Taiwan earthquake.

As for pricing, we once again have no confirmed details, but if we were to estimate where these GPUs could fall, we can expect the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB to be somewhere between $449–$499, especially considering the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB also launched at $499. For the 8GB variant, we expect it to be priced similarly to the RTX 4060 Ti 8GB, around the $399–$449 mark.
