We’re three months into 2025, and Nvidia has already launched three GPUs from its latest RTX 50 series graphics cards lineup. So far, we’ve seen the RTX 5090, 5080, and 5070 Ti – up next is the RTX 5070, which is now confirmed for a March 5th release date. With the launch just a couple of days away, you’d expect retailers to be (mostly) fully stocked up and ready to go. Well, that isn’t the case.

So far, Nvidia has been suffering from stock issues for all 50 series cards, and this is something that AMD can capitalize on with its upcoming RX 9070 series launch. Fresh reports tell us that the RTX 5070 will also face limited availability.

Large Swedish retailer reveals it doesn’t have any RTX 5070 stock yet

According to a post from Inet, a large Swedish retailer, the RTX 5070 looks to be meeting the same fate as the existing next-gen offerings from Nvidia. In the run-up to the launch, there have been prior suggestions that the 5070 could be delayed to mid-March due to production problems. However, there is currently no official word that this is the case, and the 5070 launch will be going ahead on the 6th.

While we cannot speak for availability across every region, Swedish consumers look like they could be waiting a little while before getting their hands on Nvidia’s new mid-range card. As per the post, Inet hopes to “start releasing cards and computers with RTX 5070 in the coming weeks” and it seems likely that poor stock levels will affect a number of regions and retailers across the world.

“The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 is scheduled for release on March 5th, but unfortunately it looks like we won’t be able to release the cards then. This is simply because we don’t seem to be getting any cards in stock.”

It’s safe to say that the 50 series launch has been far from ideal. From melting cable issues to missing ROPs, the high-end cards have had a particularly rough time, but we have higher hopes for the RTX 5070. Nvidia has already said that the 5070 won’t be affected by missing ROPs issues, and the lower 250W TDP should ensure it avoids power-related problems.
