Sony has finally revealed when players will be able to get their hands on its upcoming FlexStrike wireless fight stick. The accessory was first announced in June last year as PlayStation’s first-ever wireless fight stick, but since then, Sony has remained relatively quiet about its launch plans. Now, nearly a year later, the company has confirmed both its release date and pre-order details.

According to Sony, the FlexStrike wireless fight stick (previously known as Project Defiant) will launch globally on August 6, 2026. The timing is no coincidence, as the accessory is arriving on the same day as Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, one of the biggest upcoming fighting games for PlayStation – it will also be available on PC on the same date.

FlexStrike wireless will be available on August 6, pre-orders on June 12

The FlexStrike is designed for both PS5 and PC players and is aimed at those who want a tournament-ready fighting game controller. Sony says portability was a major focus during development. The fight stick includes a built-in rechargeable battery and comes bundled with a dedicated sling carry case, making it easier for players to transport it to tournaments, local events, gaming meetups, or your friend’s house.

The good news is that players won’t have to wait long to secure one, as Sony has confirmed that pre-orders will begin on June 12, 2026. The FlexStrike will carry a recommended retail price of $199.99 in the United States, €199.99 in Europe, £179.99 in the United Kingdom, and ¥34,980 in Japan. Pre-orders will be available through PlayStation Direct in supported regions, as well as participating retailers.

More hardware from Sony

In addition to announcing the FlexStrike launch, Sony also provided updates on other gaming accessories. The company revealed that its new 27-inch Gaming Monitor with DualSense Charging Hook will launch in the United States ($349.99) and Japan (¥49,980) on August 27, 2026. The monitor features a 2560×1440 QHD IPS display with Variable Refresh Rate support and can run at up to 120Hz on PS5 and PS5 Pro, while compatible PCs and Macs can take advantage of refresh rates up to 240Hz. Pre-orders for the monitor will open on June 5 through PlayStation Direct and participating retailers.

Sony also shared a brief update on its upcoming Pulse Elevate wireless speakers. While an exact release date has not been announced, the company confirmed that they are still scheduled to launch later this year. Additional information, including pricing and pre-order details, will be revealed at a later date.
