Following in the footsteps of the Steam Deck and Steam Frame (the latter of which isn’t even out yet), Valve’s new cubed mini PC, the Steam Machine, now has a ‘Great on Machine’ section for all its verified games to live. Unlike the others, it’s not currently available to view in a browser or on the stable channel, as it’s part of the latest beta client update, released July 14.

Anyone with a Steam Deck will know they’re met with the equivalent ‘Great on Deck’ page once they boot their device in Gaming Mode – so now the same is true for Steam Machine owners on the new beta version. While we’re gradually seeing more Frame-compatible titles, anything verified on Deck is verified on Machine, so there’s already a vast library of games in the new section.

Great on Machine comes to Steam Machine

Valve has published a small update to the Steam Deck Beta Client that notes the new ‘Great on Machine’ section in the library. A few weeks have passed since gamers could first pre-order the Steam Machine ahead of its June 30 release date, so there has been a little waiting for this section to be added to the SteamOS system, and we imagine it will soon join the stable version.

We have just shipped an updated Steam Deck Client to the Preview/Beta channel.

Users who wish to change to the beta client on their Steam Machine can do so through Settings > Interface > Client Beta Participation on their device. The ‘Great on Machine’ section makes it obvious which games run well out of the box. Alternatively, Steam Machine Verified and SteamOS compatibility ratings were made visible to everyone on the Steam store last week.
