Sadly, the Steam Summer Sale has come to an end. Valve ended its two-week stint on July 10, but don’t worry, there’s always some kind of deal lurking on the popular storefront. You’ll be glad to know that now that the sale is over, Fantasy General II is completely free on Steam, and you can keep it if you claim it soon.

Fantasy General II was actually 65% off during the Summer Sale, so if you bought it during that time and can still refund it, you might as well do so if you want to save some extra cash. Head on over to the Steam store page to claim this offer before July 17.

What is Fantasy General II?

Released in 2019, this strategy title stays true to the “tradition of the original game” with turn-based battles. There are over 75 unique unit types, including heroes, with plenty of content to sink your teeth into among different weapons, armor, terrain, magic, and more. The game features a single-player campaign and takes around 43 hours to beat the main story.

With just under 975 user reviews, the Fantasy General II enjoys a ‘Very Positive’ rating on Steam (81% of reviews are positive at the time of writing). Better yet, you can run the game on a wide range of hardware – the minimum system requirements only ask for a graphics card with 2GB of VRAM. Recommended specs include the GTX 1060 (3GB), 8GB of system memory, and just 2.2GB of storage space. So, you might as well give it a go for free if you’re into the strategy wargaming genre.

When does this offer end?

As we said, it ends on July 17, 10 AM Pacific Time, to be exact. Here’s how that looks elsewhere in the world:
