The Witcher 3 mod adds Dynamic MFG support with up to 6x frame generation for massive performance boost
Table of Contents
A new paid mod for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is giving RTX 50 series GPU owners a performance upgrade by adding support for Nvidia DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation. The mod is created by well-known modder PureDark, who has previously released several DLSS-related mods for PC games. This latest release upgrades the game’s older Streamline library to Streamline 2.11.1, which is required for newer DLSS technologies like Multi Frame Generation to work properly.
While The Witcher 3 already received support for DLSS Super Resolution and standard Frame Generation in its next-gen update back in 2022, the game never officially got support for DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation, which launched alongside the RTX 50 series last year. As a result, players have to rely on community-made mods to use Nvidia’s newest AI frame generation features.
Dynamic MFG is available in The Witcher 3 with this paid mod
The biggest feature added through this mod is Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, also called Dynamic MFG. Nvidia added this technology to DLSS 4.5 at the end of March. Instead of using a fixed frame multiplier, the system can automatically adjust generated frames depending on GPU load and the refresh rate of the display, or a target FPS. In short, the mod tries to keep gameplay smooth without users constantly changing settings manually.

Players can also choose fixed multipliers if they prefer. The mod supports 2x, 3x, 4x, and even up to 6x frame generation modes. According to data shared by PureDark, the FPS can jump from 53 to up to 320 with this feature. YouTuber Gaming DJ also tested the mod on a rig powered by the RTX 5070 Ti, and he achieved around 180 FPS starting from a 30 FPS base.
The mod is officially titled ‘Witcher3 Upscaler DLSS4 Build 01’ and is available to subscribers of PureDark’s Patreon, which starts at $5 per month.
DJ Gaming’s test also suggests that the visual quality starts degrading at higher multipliers, especially above 3x. There are artifacts around character models, UI elements, and textures. As such, the 3x option is recommended, as it provides a balance between image quality and smoothness. The mod also includes an in-game menu that allows players to switch presets, set framerate limits, and toggle frame generation features without ever leaving the game.
