Witcher 3 is the ninth most-played game on the Steam Deck right now
Right now, The Witcher 3 is the 9th most played game on the Steam Deck. This is a big jump, as it climbed 11 positions on the Steam Deck Top Played charts to reach this spot. For a game that's been out for almost nine years, this is a surprising achievement.
A new reveal trailer for The Witcher 4 was shared by CD Projekt Red during The Game Awards on December 12th, leaving fans of the series excited. The trailer was rendered on an “unannounced” RTX GPU, likely the RTX 5090, and offered the first glimpse of the upcoming game. However, this reveal has reignited interest in the series, with many players returning to The Witcher 3, evidently on the Steam Deck as well.

The best part is that The Witcher 3 is also available with a massive 80% discount on Steam right now. It was previously listed for $39.99, but it is now available for only $7.99. The Complete Edition includes the base game along with the two expansions: Blood and Wine and Hearts of Stone. The discount runs until December 18, but with the Steam Winter Sale starting the next day, the deal is likely to remain available during the event.
