Since its unveiling at Computex earlier last month, the upcoming Zen 5 CPUs have been highly anticipated. While details about the processors were revealed bit by bit in the last few weeks, AMD refrained from revealing any price for the chips.
But just ahead of the 9000 series launch, retailers are starting to list prices of the AMD’s upcoming lineup of processors. So far, the prices of AMD Ryzen 5 9600X, Ryzen 9 9900X, and Ryzen 9 5900XT in different regions have been revealed. This of course doesn’t cover everything AMD is launching this July, but it’s a nice start.
AMD Ryzen 5 9600X, Ryzen 9 9900X, and Ryzen 9 5900XT prices have been listed online
Starting with the cheapest processor in AMD’s new 9000 series line-up, the Ryzen 5 9600X, which has an MSRP of $295 on Amazon US. This price is slightly lower than the Ryzen 5 7600X’s $289 price tag when it launched in 2022.

On Deals Target, the Ryzen 5 9600X is currently listed for $295.22 a piece. If customers buy in bulk, like 10 to 19 units, they can get a 2% discount on the total. And if they purchase 20 to 29 units, then a 3% discount is applicable. Earlier this week, X user momomo_us spotted the Ryzen 5 9600X selling for 475 CAD on Amazon CA. However, the page has been taken down since then. Interestingly, this was close to the prices we heard about last week.
In addition to the Ryzen 5 9600X, the price of the Ryzen 9 9900X has also been revealed. On Amazon NL, the Ryzen 9 9900X is priced at €512.59 and is available for pre-order. A note on the side says that “this item will be released on July 31st”.
The Ryzen 9 5900XT and Ryzen 7 5700XT, new CPUs for the AM4 socket, were also announced along with the Zen 5 processors. These processors will also be released with the 9000 series lineup. Out of the two, the Ryzen 9 5900XT has been listed on Amazon Germany with a price of €582.35.
With the 9000 series launch scheduled for July 31st, prices of AMD’s last-gen processors, the 7000 and 5000 series, have dropped drastically. For instance, the Ryzen 9 7900X is currently priced at $342 on Amazon. Plus, the 7900X3D and 7950X3D currently have a price tag of $327.98 and $459.98, respectively.
