Get your hands on the next generation Ryzen 5000 series CPUs!
Last Updated on
Nvidia has been extremely busy in recent times with the releases of their RTX 3090, 3080, and 3070 graphics cards but, what has AMD been up to? Well, putting some work into next-gen Ryzen 5000 series Zen 3 CPUs and AMD 6000 series GPUs.
These highly anticipated Ryzen 5000 series Zen 3 CPUs will bring a whole new level of performance to the already stellar processor lineup, building on the previous generation and enhancing your next PC build. We know that these processors will be bringing a lot to the world of PC performance, so if you are in the market for a new CPU, and you happen to see one of these processors available don’t wait too long – they are immensely popular, and stock runs out fast!
AMD Zen 2 CPUs were already pretty impressive processors boasting due to up to 16 core variants as well at least 3.6GHz base clock speeds (going all the way up to 4.6GHz boosted). But, with Ryzen 5000 series Zen 3 CPUs, we expected a big increase in performance due to improved core counts, even higher clock speeds, and much more. This was definitely showcased in the reveal. The Ryzen 9 5900X processor will feature up to 4.9GHz boosted clock speeds, an improvement over the Ryzen 9 3900X, as well as even bigger differences with the Ryzen 9 5950X.
Again, as expected the same naming convention occurred, with the CPUs essentially improving in performance as the numbers increase. For example, the more budget option will be the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X then increasing through the Ryzen 7 5800x, and Ryzen 7 5900x until the top tier Ryzen 9 5950x.
As soon as the AMD Zen 3 CPUs release, if recent launches are to go by, they’re going to be incredibly in demand so aim to get your orders/preorders in ASAP.
The big reveal of the AMD Ryzen 5000 series Zen 3 processors has finally happened and we got a bunch more info into the specs of the CPUs as well as other details such as the release dates.
We now know that all of the AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors will launch on November 5th, yes, even including the Ryzen 9 5950X!
So, as the October 8th event has taken place, we know a whole lot more about the CPUs but, we don’t have any links for you to buy AMD Ryzen 5000 series Zen 3 processors as of right now. However, we do expect them to go live in the usual places such as Amazon, Best Buy, and more, so as and when we get those links, we’ll slot them into this article so you can get your hands on the latest AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors.

Now the October 8th event is all over we now have official word on how much AMD Ryzen 5000 series Zen 3 processors are going to be. We speculated, based on the Zen 2 release and any leaks that have done the rounds, that they would be similarly priced. So, based on the Zen 2 prices we expected the Ryzen 5000 series Zen 3 counterparts to be priced at around $200 for the Ryzen 5 5600X budget option and $500 for the high-powered Ryzen 9 5900x processor.
This prediction was relatively accurate, with the Ryzen 9 5950X coming in at $799, the Ryzen 9 5900X retailing at $549, the Ryzen 7 5800X costing $449, and the budget Ryzen 5 5600X being $299.
If you’re keen to watch the unveiling of the AMD Ryzen 5000 series Zen 3 processors, as usual, AMD will be live streaming the event for the world to see. Below, you can watch the reveal for yourself:
