World’s first Deck Controller for Nintendo Switch 2 “coming soon” with multiple colors considered
Table of Contents
Abxylute has officially revealed a new handheld controller made for the Nintendo Switch 2. The attachment, which replaces the Switch 2’s usual Joy-Cons, is called the N6, and according to the company, it is the world's first deck-style controller that supports the official Switch 2 protocol. The announcement can be found on Abxylute's official X account, where they shared an image of the controller.
The N6 is designed to work like a controller grip for the Switch 2, similar to how CRKD’s Nitro Deck works with the original Nintendo Switch. Instead of using the detachable Joy-Con controllers, players will be able to slide their Switch 2 console directly into the N6 for a more solid and ergonomic handheld experience. This makes it a good option for people who want more comfort when playing long gaming sessions or those who prefer full-sized controller buttons over smaller Joy-Con controls.
We’re still waiting for more details
At the moment, Abxylute has not announced a release date or price for the N6. They simply said it is “coming soon”, which means we'll need to wait for more details. The company has also not confirmed where it will be released first or if it will be available worldwide.

The official page for the N6 is already live on Abxylute's website, but it does not include any technical specifications yet. There are no details about features like vibration support, motion controls, or whether it will have a built-in battery. We do know that it will connect to the Switch 2 using the USB-C connector, and to use it, players will have to remove the Joy-Con 2 controllers from the console. The controller features a standard layout with two thumbsticks, a D-pad, four action buttons, and shoulder triggers.
So far, the N6 has only been shown in white, and while Abxylute hasn't confirmed which other colors will be available, a moderator on the official Discord server confirms “multiple color options” will be considered. One thing we’re keen to know is whether it fits inside the Nintendo Switch 2’s dock, but at first glance, the bulkiness makes it appear unlikely.
