Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold pre order & where to buy – available retailers
Table of Contents
Sales go live for Samsung’s first tri-folding phone today, the aptly named Galaxy Z TriFold. It features a 6.5-inch cover screen that folds out in both directions for a full 10-inch display, more akin to a mid-range Galaxy tablet. The Galaxy Z Trifold will be available for purchase in the United States on January 30; it was previously launched in Korea in December last year.
In the US, the device will initially be exclusively available from Samsung – this includes its online store, as well as brick-and-mortar Samsung Experience Stores. In the week ahead of its US launch, fans have had the opportunity to demo the device in select retail locations across California, Minnesota, New York, and Texas.
Galaxy Z TriFold – confirmed & expected US retailers
As explained, the Galaxy Z TriFold can only be bought directly from Samsung during its initial release period. However, we wouldn’t rule it out coming to alternative retailers at a later date. As such, we’ve suggested a few other common spots you may expect the tri-folding phone to be available later down the road.

It’s also worth noting that the Galaxy Z TriFold will be getting a 1TB variant, too. However, Samsung has yet to announce when this storage option will be available for purchase in the US. For now, only the 512GB model is listed on the Samsung store.
Can you pre order the Galaxy Z TriFold? Are there any pre order bonuses?
In short, no, there is currently no way to pre-order the Galaxy Z TriFold in the US. Samsung previously offered ‘Early Access’ to the new TriFold smartphone. However, this promotion has since expired, with the company claiming that “demand has exceeded our supply for Early Access”. Samsung now prompts consumers to return for the release time (10 AM ET on January 30), when the smartphone will be back in stock for the full release. We’ll be back to report if this changes between now and launch.
As such, there are no pre-order bonuses we know of right now. On the plus side, Samsung has already revealed – in its initial press release – that customers who purchase the TriFold are eligible for a 6-month trial on Google AI Pro, which unlocks access to Gemini app features, including Veo 3 video generation, and 2TB of secure cloud storage. Samsung will also provide a one-time 50% discount on any display repair costs for this particular smartphone.
How much does the Galaxy Z TriFold cost?
Samsung finally revealed the price of the Galaxy Z TriFold in an announcement post a few days ahead of launch. The South Korean tech giant unveiled a $2,899 price tag for the 512GB model, while the price of the 1TB variant remains a mystery for the time being. We’ve seen Samsung run pre-order offers before for its smartphones, including a deal on the Galaxy S25 Edge last year that let you double the storage for free. However, with no sight of the 1TB TriFold right now, a similar offer seems unlikely.
When will the Galaxy Z TriFold be available in the UK?
At the time of writing, there is no word on when (or if) the Galaxy Z TriFold will be available in the United Kingdom. Samsung’s original press release only mentions availability for markets in China, Taiwan, Singapore, the UAE, and the US. So, it goes without saying that a release remains unknown in regions such as the UK or Canada.
