Interestingly, Bard is not available in many regions including most countries in the European Union and Canada! The fact that Bard is not widely available in the EU countries and Canada is a surprise. For reference, Bard’s biggest competitor, OpenAI’s ChatGPT is accessible in both of these regions.

Unfortunately not. Bard is not available in a few countries including those in the European Union and also Canada.
Why is Bard not available in EU?
The fact that Google Bard is not available in any EU country suggests that the AI chatbot violates local regulations. Despite Google not making any official statements, it is assumed that Bard does not comply with the EU’s data protection laws or GDPR. Therefore it is effectively banned in the EU.
Similarly, ChatGPT was also banned in Italy for data privacy reasons. It seems as though European countries have stricter laws towards large language models and the way they store and use our personal data and information.
Why Bard is not available in Canada?
