The mid-range Zen 4 processor has now arrived. If you’ve been wondering where to buy Ryzen 7 7700X chipsets then we’ve got the answers for you. The US has currently been leading the charge in this early period. We’ve seen that Best Buy has landing pages available for the entirety of the 7000 series, but Amazon is actually selling them right now, but for an inflated rate.

As far as competitively priced CPUs for gaming go, the Ryzen 7 7700X acts as something of a middle ground between the budget and the top-end. This gives the processor a distinct edge for those wanting excellent performance without burning too deep a hole in their wallets. The chipset carries an MSRP of $399, so doesn’t quite break the bank here, either.

Ryzen 7 7700X retailers

We’ve seen representation from some major US outlets as mentioned above. Amazon’s current rates are eclipsing the asking price, but if you want to get in early, then that’s an avenue to consider. We recommend waiting for the Ryzen 7 7700X to sell at MSRP, which should be standardized and readily available in the coming hours.

In terms of where to buy Ryzen 7 7700X processors, we’ve compiled a list of all the trusted and reliable retailers which usually carry AMD processor stock at launch. This encapsulates the US, the UK, and Canada, so most bases are covered in the hunt for a stellar price-to-performance ratio processor.

Ryzen 7 7700X specs

The Ryzen 7 7700X positions itself firmly in the center of AMD’s new lineup. This is reflected in the hardware itself. This processor features an 8-core (16 threads) makeup which is built upon a 5nm process. The chipset comes storming out of the gate with a 4.5 GHz base clock and can be pushed to 5.4 GHz for optimum performance. This is with a 40MB cache and 105W TDP.

As with all Ryzen 7000 processors, the 7700X runs through the company’s new AM5 motherboards and exclusively utilizes DDR5 RAM. If you’ve been after a chipset that’s fuelled purely by the added bandwidth of PCIe 5.0, this one can attest.

Ryzen 7 7700X performance

Although we haven’t seen much specifically from the Ryzen 7 7700X ourselves, what we’ve seen from Ryzen 7000 performance overall is very promising. If we take the benchmarks we’ve previously observed into account then we can easily state that the new mid-range model vastly outperforms the previous flagship.

This is based on the evidence that the Ryzen 5 7600X can outperform the 5900X in single-core performance. With the 7700X’s additional threads and higher boost clock on the same TDP, the trail blazed by the middle child certainly is in a league of its own for the price.
