The Skytech Shadow 5 is an amazing mid-range gaming PC that strikes almost a perfect balance of performance and value for money. This overall prebuilt is definitely worth taking a minute out for, and with this deal, you can get your hands on it for only $1,879.99.
What we liked about the Shadow 5
Ryzen 7 7700
The best way to explain what this processor is about is that it is a lower-powered version of the Ryzen 7 7700X. It has the same 8-core and 16-thread design but with a 65W TDP and a boost clock speed of 5.3GHz. It can be overclocked for better performance, and the 65W keeps it energy-efficient. It can handle everyday tasks, 4K video editing, animation, and rendering with ease. Pairing it with the RTX 5070 also makes a lot of sense since it won’t cause a CPU bottleneck.

RTX 5070
The RTX 5070 sits smack in the middle of the RTX 50-series performance hierarchy. High FPS 1440p gaming is a walk in the park for it as it is made for that, but you’ll be surprised to see it pushing 4K in some titles as well. However, 1440p would be better, as you can enable ray tracing and leverage DLSS 4.5 for consistent FPS. Its 12GB GDDR7 VRAM also promotes quick turnaround in professional workflows like photo and video editing, rendering, AI, etc; however, for serious punching power, it lags behind the RTX 5070 Ti and only pushes ahead of the RX 9070 XT in specific scenarios.
360mm AIO
We liked the fact that this gaming PC has a 360mm AIO. For the Ryzen 7 7700, it is overkill as it doesn’t run hot, and even an air cooler can get the job done. However, this also adds a layer of future-proofing because you can easily move on to a more powerful processor without having to worry about the thermal output. This cooler is suitable for flagship offerings as well and is a great piece of hardware for overclocking efforts.
Is this gaming PC for you?
This gaming PC is the embodiment of “mid-range,” but we can’t deny that it has some serious value for money. It is perfect for 1440p and 4K gaming while delivering a robust and stable productivity output. It is decked out with a 360mm AIO, 32GB DDR5 RAM, 1TB SSD, and modern hardware. So, if you’re looking to get your hands on such a machine, this is a top contender.
