What made the ASUS XG27ACMEG-G stand out
260Hz refresh rate with a 0.3ms response time
The ASUS ROG Strix XG27ACMEG-G is best suited for competitive gaming with its 27″ 1440p Fast IPS panel, 260Hz (overclocked) refresh rate, and minimal 0.3ms response time. Faster refresh rate displays update motion more often, so turning quickly, blinking rapidly, or altering the scene switches between frames more smoothly and makes fast object tracking less of a chore. And a low response time enables the pixels on the screen to change quickly enough that the motion blur related to slower response times becomes hard to see. In Counter-Strike 2, shooting faster targets will be easier, but keep in mind that the 260Hz mode will only be useful if your system gives you a high enough frame rate.
ROG Gaming AI
The ROG Gaming AI features helpful display enhancements that assist your reactions to what’s going on in the game. AI Visual, Dynamic Crosshair, and Dynamic Shadow Boost all modify how the image or aiming overlay is displayed to make certain scenarios easier to interpret. Dynamic Shadow Boost, for example, boosts the contrast in darker areas of the game where opponents might be hiding, while the Dynamic Crosshair allows the aiming indicator to change its appearance to improve its visibility.
