If you’re looking for an OLED gaming monitor with a high refresh rate for well under $400, then this is absolutely the deal for you. Right now, this Acer Predator 27-inch, QHD QD-OLED monitor is down 43% on its list price and back at its record low, coming in at just $314.99, which was its price at Prime Day this year. The actual most recent drop is a little more modest, according to price tracking data; however, that being said, I’ve been writing about gaming monitors for years now, and I can tell you that this is about as cheap as it gets for an OLED, and it’s actually a decent one, too.

In terms of gaming performance, its 240Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time, and FreeSync Premium make it excellent for fast-paced, competitive play. When it comes to picture quality, you’ve got 99% DCI-P3 color, Delta E<2 accuracy for true-to-life visuals, and since it’s QD-OLED, you can expect deep, inky blacks, excellent contrast, and bright highlights, too.

Of course, at this price, it scales back a little in some areas to remain affordable. For instance, you’ve got FreeSync Premium instead of Premium Pro, which would further improve HDR gaming performance. From a design perspective, it’s a little more basic than some of your flashier models and doesn’t have any built-in aRGB, which may or may not be a big deal for you. Overall, though, for the price, you’re really getting a lot here, and it’s going to be very adept at showcasing games at their best, while also providing excellent, competitive gaming performance, too.

What we like about this Acer Predator gaming monitor

QD-OLED panel makes games look far more lifelike and cinematic

With deep blacks and true-to-life color, games look far more atmospheric and realistic. If you’re a fan of playing AAA story-driven titles, monitors like this one are going to add a level of immersion that you can’t get with a typical LED display.

QHD resolution looks super crisp and clear at this size

At 27-inches, 1440p looks seriously good, and what’s more, it’s far more affordable than a 4K alternative, too.

High refresh rate and FreeSync Premium offer outstanding gaming performance

FreeSync Premium has features like low frame rate compensation, which can generate frames even when frame rates dip below the monitor’s bottom refresh rate. This ensures that you won’t bump into any issues when playing competitively, and your overall gaming experience is super smooth, with minimal motion blur or ghosting.

Its color is great for gaming and creative work, too

With 99% DCI-P3 color and Delta E<2 accuracy, you can actually use this monitor for video editing and other creative work. QD-OLED monitors like this one are great picks if you’re primarily using it for gaming, but also want something for content creation, for example.
