Alienware 500Hz FHD gaming monitor is made for esports and is sitting at its 30 day low price
Table of Contents
The Alienware AW2524HF is an insane gaming monitor that boasts a 500Hz refresh rate (OC) with a 0.5ms response time. It just screams competitive gameplay, and with an FHD resolution, you can hit very high frames in pretty much any title, especially if you leverage upscaling technology. The IPS panel also makes the colors more consistent, with a 99% sRGB coverage; it is great for content creation and color grading as well.
The best part is that it is currently sitting at its lowest price in a month, and you can get your hands on it for only $499.99 with this deal. That being said, this is tailored towards hardcore gamers who want the fastest output, and we won’t recommend this for casual gamers, as it is expensive for an FHD gaming monitor.
- Native 480Hz with 500Hz OC
- 99% sRGB coverage
- Comes with 3-year advanced exchange
- Not recommended for casual gaming
- Expensive for 1080p gaming monitor
Why this gaming monitor caught our attention
Tailored for professional gaming
This gaming monitor boasts a native 480Hz refresh rate, which is super fast and responsive as it is; however, you can overclock it to go up to 500Hz. This converges on the TN monitor territory, but is better as it has an IPS panel. That being said, at 1080p, many GPUs can hit very high frame rates, but to get the best output natively, you’ll need either the RTX 5080 or the RTX 5090.

The MSI Suprim RTX 5090 SOC that we reviewed managed to hit 627 FPS in CS2, and the ROG Astra RTX 5080 OC came second with 487 FPS. So, this should put into perspective how challenging it is to hit 500 FPS even at 1080p. While you can get high frames with mid-range offerings as well, you’ll need to leverage DLSS 4.5 or FSR 4. Before that, double-check whether the game you’re playing supports these technologies as well or not.
Good color gamut coverage
The IPS panel already delivers good color accuracy, but with the 99% sRGB coverage means that you can professionally color grade with this gaming monitor. However, it isn’t exactly meant for that, but in a pinch, it is nice to know that it can get the job done with ease. So, content creation, editing, and other creative workflows are part of the conversation with this gaming monitor.
