Serious processing power with the 275HX and RTX 5070
The Alienware 18 Area-51 pairs the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX with the RTX 5070 for excellent overall performance. The 24 cores of the 275HX can assist with CPU-heavy workloads, multitasking, and video editing software, as well as general apps, while the 8GB of GDDR7 onboard graphics memory helps to render detailed worlds within a game, all the lighting effects, and high-res textures in high definition. Huge 18″ QHD+ display
A large 18-inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600) display offers ample screen real estate without losing detail or clarity in the latest games. Thanks to a 16:10 aspect ratio, the display brings more vertical pixels than a 16:9 display, which can be beneficial in navigating menus and editing video. And a higher-than-average refresh rate of 300Hz ensures that fast-paced games look smooth and gives a more precise visual of your competitors. The screen has a bright display with support for up to 500 nits and 100% DCI-P3 coverage, which can ensure bright, vibrant visuals in most games, movies, or other media.
Cryo-Chamber for exceptional cooling
Alienware’s Cryo-Chamber is engineered to cool high-powered computers as you tackle long gaming sessions. The frame underneath the laptop draws in more air and directs it to the more heated areas. Bigger fans and more copper provide a greater means of drawing heat away from the CPU and GPU. So, the gaming laptop has some extra room for heat generated by demanding jobs, and the laptop will not throttle when things get warm. You’ll have an excellent gaming laptop with the ability to run games and demanding jobs for longer periods of time, although actual temperatures and fan noise will still be based on the workload and performance settings.
Three slots for SSDs and two slots for RAM
The Alienware 18 Area-51 offers three M.2 SSD slots and two DDR5 SO-DIMM memory slots, giving you useful upgrade options as your needs grow. You can add compatible SSDs to expand storage for a large game library, video projects, and other sizeable files without relying entirely on external drives. The memory slots support up to 64GB of RAM, based on the configuration, which can help with demanding creative software and running multiple applications at once. One important detail: SSD compatibility and supported speeds vary by slot and configuration, so check the specifications before upgrading.
