This ASUS TUF F16 gaming laptop is now down to just $909.99 on Amazon, and it’s a real winner considering what it brings to the table.

You’ve got an impressive, but budget-friendly RTX 5050 mobile graphics card paired with an Intel Core i5-13450HX processor, 16GB of DDR5, and a snappy 165Hz FHD+ display.

This is the type of gaming laptop that’s designed for those who want something for FHD gaming on the go, with a good processor, durable design, and access to some of the latest-gen features from Nvidia’s new Blackwell architecture. It’s just a few dollars off its record-low price on Amazon, too, so it’s a great time to go for it.

What makes this ASUS TUF F16 gaming laptop deal worth it?

Its CPU is great for gaming, and an excellent pick for productivity

You’ve got an Intel Core i5-13450HX processor in this laptop, which is a very well-balanced option to go for, featuring 10 cores, 16 threads, a boost clock speed of 4.6GHz, and 20MB Intel Smart Cache. This essentially gives you something that’ll allow for high fps gaming with low frame latency, and be adept at multitasking and handling demanding workflows, like video editing, without breaking the bank.

You get a surprisingly fast screen for the price

Its FHD+ display comes in at 165Hz, which is actually a touch faster than some more expensive RTX 5060 models I’ve come across, which are usually around 144Hz. This is going to give you plenty of headroom for high fps gaming, and is ideal for competitive play on the go, too.

You can grab a newer Blackwell mobile GPU without blowing your budget

This laptop features an RTX 5050 mobile, which packs 8GB of VRAM, 4th-gen ray tracing cores, 5th-gen tensor cores, and MFG, which is exclusive to the 50-series and can dramatically improve gaming performance. It’s a big step up from the RTX 4050 mobile, and ideal if you want something more recent and future-proof for FHD gaming, but for less than you’d think.

Higher-end RAM for a great price

There’s 16GB of DDR5 in this build, which is very good for the price, and not always the case with gaming laptops between $900 and $1000, from my experience. This gives you more than enough to improve gaming performance, and also gives you headroom for creative workflows and heavier multitasking, too.

Storage you’ll actually use

While 512GB may seem small, it’s actually more than enough for a handful of games while leaving you room for other files. Importantly, you’re not spending on space you may not need straight away, helping keep initial costs down.

Highly durable and robust design

These laptops are characterized by their military-grade materials and impressively tough build quality, which gives you peace of mind when taking them on the go and encountering the occasional knocks and bumps.

Should you go for this deal now?

As you can see from the graph above, it’s only a few dollars shy of its lowest price ever, after a brief period at around $1,100. It’s a great time to go for it, in my opinion, even though the actual discount is less than what’s indicated on the Amazon listing.

Also, I’ve picked up on a pattern recently of ASUS products hitting their lowest prices again on Amazon, some of which have dropped significantly for the first time in quite a while. I’d say that if you are looking for new gaming laptops and other components, now would be a good time to check out ASUS products if you want a great deal.
