Brilliant Gigabyte 280Hz OLED gaming monitor hits lowest price in 30 days at Newegg
Table of Contents
If you’re looking for a cracking OLED, QHD gaming monitor for a great price, I’d say that this Gigabyte model is well worth checking out right now. It’s now down to its lowest price in 30 days, coming in at $394.99, which is genuinely a very good price for a monitor like this. What you’ve got here is pretty straightforward on the surface. It’s QD-OLED, 280Hz, and QHD, which gives you stunning contrast, true-to-life color, and a high enough refresh rate for competitive FPS. However, looking closer, it actually packs some more premium features. For instance, you’ve got a KVM switch, which allows you to use the monitor with two devices and not have to unplug any peripherals. You’ve also got FreeSync Premium Pro, which brings better HDR performance to the table. It even has a USB-C port that supports 18W power delivery. Not enough to charge and display laptop connections, but more than enough for other peripherals.
Is this deal for you?
280Hz OLED QHD gaming monitors, I think, hit the sweet spot for most QHD PCs, but I’d pair this with something like an RX 9070 XT or RTX 5070 Ti build myself. It’s a versatile monitor for a wide range of different games, and it also works well for creatives, thanks to its exceptional 99% DCI-P3 color and Delta E<2 accuracy. From a price-to-performance perspective, I think that this monitor makes a lot of sense, and packs a decent sprinkling of premium, quality-of-life features that make it far more multidimensional offering for more than just gaming.

High, but not overkill refresh rate
360Hz is great, but it’s also a fair bit more expensive in my experience compared to 280Hz. Is it worth the premium? I’d say it’s not really worth it in most cases, unless you’re looking to play specific competitive titles that benefit from super-high frame rates.
3rd-Gen QD-OLED panel
1.5M:1 contrast ratio, 99% DCI-P3, and a very low 0.3ms response time. This OLD display not only showcases games at their very best, but is super snappy and able to handle fast-paced gameplay with minimal motion blur and ghosting, too.
Advanced burn-in protection
You’ve got physical heat sinks that effectively control overall temperatures and advanced AI-based algorithms that monitor, detect, and prevent burn-in automatically. You can also completely customize burn-in protection settings to your own liking.
