Why we’d pick the ROG XG27AQWMG Gaming Monitor
Tandem OLED technology
This 26.5-inch QHD TrueBlack GLossy WOLED monitor is endowed with Tandem OLED technology. This provides this monitor with around 15% higher peak brightness, 25% larger color volume, and 60% longer OLED lifespan, enhancing and reinforcing the quality a regular WOLED could provide. That extra brightness specifically is good for fighting glare on the glossy screen.
Excellent for gaming
As a gaming monitor, the XG27AQWMG is exceptionally well configured. It has a rapid 280Hz refresh rate with a 0.03ms response time and supports VRR (variable refresh rate) tech, and games will look fantastic thanks to the Tandem OLED panel. And thanks to its HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, it’s a great choice for consoles as well as gaming PCs.

Good for editing and content
This monitor looks great, and with its VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black compliance, 99.5% DCI-P3 gamut, true 10-bit color, and Delta E<2 color difference, you can see why. You can enjoy immersive gaming and wonderful-looking HDR content. It’s even regarded as quite color-accurate out of the box, needing minimal calibration for image and video editing tasks.
What to consider before you buy
This Tandem OLED monitor is stunning, and because of its Tandem OLED tech, it’s likely to cost more than the obvious alternatives. That makes the deal price an even bigger bonus, because it may be one of the best 27-inch monitors available at the new deal price. Our key note? This is a glossy monitor, so if your room gets very sunny, it may not be ideal… even with its brighter Tandem screen.
