Asus TUF RTX 5080 steps back in price, but only if you have Amazon Prime
Table of Contents
The RTX 5080 is our top graphics card for gaming. But that doesn’t mean it comes cheap. This beastly 4K GPU commands a hefty price, and that is why we’re quick to highlight any potential savings. And if you’re an Amazon Prime member, then a new deal allows you to make a bit of a saving. A new discount at the retailer finds the Asus TUF RTX 5080 at $1,509. That’s the most affordable price since May, so it’s an opportunity for a better outlay than we’ve seen of late.
ASUS TUF RTX 5080 OC
Why we like the Asus TUF RTX 5080 OC
Blackwell at its best
Technically, the RTX 5090 is the top dog in the Blackwell family. But we prefer the RTX 5080 because it’s less expensive (although still costly) and has much better availability. For creators, professionals, local LLM use, and more, it’s a fine graphics card to pick for the best features available…without going to the extremes of the 5090.
A 4K beast and more
As our hands-on RTX 5080 review shows, there is pure performance available from this generation’s XX80 card. For 4K gaming, you’ll have plenty of smooth frames to handle, and if you want to stream or record game footage, this card’s 16GB of snappy GDDR7 VRAM should be more than enough.

Mil-grade design
If you want durability and style with your performance, the TUF RTX 5080 is a good pick. Its military-grade components offer added assurance and a clear design aesthetic, and it’s designed for thermal performance and longevity; not only with its fin array and three Axial-tech fans, but also because of its phase-change GPU thermal pad for better heat dissipation.
What to consider before you buy
Pure and simple, the price. While this Amazon Prime deal does offer a discount, the Asus TUF RTX 5080 OC is still a big investment in a gaming or creator rig. It should last years and may well pay back the cost, but the price is still well above its lowest to date. That’s a decision for you to make, because this is still the best graphics card for gaming, and a gem at 4K resolutions.
