Table of Contents
Newegg’s number one best-selling gaming laptop, the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 AI, is now a whopping $650 off, and has been reduced from $2,649.99 to $1,999.99. Now that is a cracking price considering this laptop packs an RTX 5070 Ti graphics card, a powerful, high core count Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, a large 2TB SSD, a massive 64GB of DDR5, and an IPS 240Hz WQXGA display. It’s easy to see why this is a popular choice, as it basically ticks every box for gaming, content creation, and productivity, all the while being quite affordable relative to other RTX 5070 Ti laptops on the market.

Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor
This mobile CPU is one of the top offerings from Intel, and it features 24 cores (8P + 16E), 24 threads, a 5.4Ghz boost clock speed, and a large 36MB L3 cache. This processor is usually found in the best gaming laptops, and is a very good pick to pair with the RTX 5070 Ti, especially if you’re looking for something to handle high fps gaming with low frame latency, in addition to being more than capable of handling heavy multitasking and multithreaded workloads.
64GB of DDR5
This is a huge amount of DDR5 to have in a gaming laptop, and it’s going to ensure that even the most RAM-intensive games run super smooth, and making edits on large files in Premiere Pro, Blender, and more, feel super snappy and responsive. It’s arguably a little overkill, but for the price, it’s actually a big win.
2TB of storage
This is a very good amount of storage to have in a laptop, and it’s storage you’d likely get around to using, too. If you want to save games to this laptop and not have to constantly spring clean to clear up space, then this is a good option.
16-inch 240Hz display
You’ve got an IPS screen here, which is a very good pick for this type of configuration, as its 240Hz refresh rate and resolution are in line with the RTX 5070 Ti mobile’s capabilities, meaning you can get the most out of this card on the go, rather than having to plug it into a monitor to experience it fully.
Things to consider and potential alternatives
This gaming laptop really does tick all the boxes, and it delivers a lot for its new price, too. The only area it’s slightly scaled back on is its display panel technology, which is IPS and not mini-LED or OLED. This isn’t an issue if you’re using it primarily for gaming, but if you’re a serious content creator looking for very broad, accurate color, then you may want to lean into either a mini-LED display or OLED. Good options to go for would be something like ASUS ROG’s Nebula Display gaming laptops, or Lenovo Legion’s OLED laptops, but these can be quite pricey. Personally, I’d say that this Lenovo Legion Pro 7 gaming laptop would be the most viable alternative if you’re after a higher-end screen, but at over $500 more expensive, this Acer Predator option is still seriously hard to beat.
