The Samsung Odyssey name is synonymous with well-equipped gaming monitors. The Odyssey OLED G6 is a good example, and the 27-inch, 240Hz model is currently (a big) $200 below its list price on Amazon. The latest deal gets you the monitor for $400, which we like far more than the $600 list price. But, just as important, this QHD monitor has plenty to offer your gaming setup.

Why we like Samsung’s 27-inch Odyssey OLED G6 (G61SH)
A 27-inch OLED
OLED monitors are a step ahead of other technologies. That makes investing in one an aspirational upgrade for many gaming setups, and the difference will be clear. The G61SH gets high praise for vibrant colors, brightness, and contrast, elevating a standard 27-inch gaming-focused panel to enjoyable heights.
Rapid refresh rate
This monitor’s 240Hz refresh rate is Esports-level quick, supported by an almost unfathomably fast 0.03ms response time. That makes the G61SH ideal for fast-action gameplay and competitive online titles where speed and reaction times truly matter. For you, that means smooth, fluid gameplay up to 240 frames per second at 1440p.

Pantone Validated and user-friendly
Two key points of the monitor’s specs don’t relate specifically to gaming. First, it is Pantone Validated, making it a good pick for artistic and creative needs where color and accuracy matter. Second, the monitor has a fully adjustable stand, promoting good ergonomics for daily use.
What to consider before you buy
While we think that the Samsung Odyssey G6 (G61SH) is a strong pick at this deal price, this monitor has been less expensive before at its best-ever price. That makes it important to compare specs, prices, and features with other OLED monitors that are available for a similar outlay. At the time of writing, this G6 stands out, but whether it’s the best OLED gaming monitor for your needs is something only you can decide!
