HP OMEN RTX 5070, Ryzen 9 gaming laptop with 32GB of DDR5 down to a seriously good price with Amazon deal
Table of Contents
HP Omen laptops are some of the best around, and a very strong choice for those looking for solid build quality, understated but stylish aesthetics, and performance where it matters most. This model is a great example of this, and it’s now 14% off and $1899.00, making it seriously tempting.
First off, this laptop packs an RTX 5070 mobile, which has 8G of GDDR7 and all the bells and whistles of Nvidia’s new Blackwell architecture, including MFG, 4th-gen ray tracing cores, 5th-gen tensor cores, and more. It’s a graphics card that’s going great for high fps FHD gaming, and offers solid QHD performance, especially with DLSS and MFG. That’s paired with a Ryzen 9 8950HX, which is an absolute powerhouse. It features 16 cores, 32 threads, a boost clock speed of 5.3GHz, and a huge 64MB L3 cache, which is ideal for fast-paced gaming in FHD with very low frame latency. It’s essentially a CPU that gives you outstanding multitasking performance and can handle complex creative workflows, but is also incredible for esports and competitive gaming on the go.
Combined with its 32GB of high-speed DDR5 RAM, it’s like a perfect storm when it comes to gaming and workstation performance. This laptop’s screen is also impressive, as it is an IPS WQXGA (2560 x 1600), 240Hz, 100% sRGB, with 500 nits brightness. For gaming at high framerates, daylight usage, and design work, especially for web on the go, it’s a very solid pick.

Who is this gaming laptop for?
I’d say that if you want excellent FHD performance and something with very strong workstation capabilities, and don’t mind opting for an IPS display instead of a more expensive OLED (which would be better for creative work) and having a slightly modest 1TB SSD, this laptop is a great fit. What I like about it is that it’s not overly specced, but also not the bare minimum either, making it a very balanced option that I think makes its appeal much wider. At just $1,899.00, it’s a banger.
