This large 75-inch LG QNED TV is back down to its best price again on Amazon, with a 14% discount on its list price of $696.99, dropping it to just $599.96. Now, for under $600, this is a bit of a bargain, especially for something this size. Of course, this is more of a base-level offering in some senses, and designed to give you what you need for immersive home movie nights, everyday usage, and epic, big screen gaming. You’ve got an impressive QNED display here, which delivers bright, high contrast picture quality with outstanding color, a powerful Alpha 7 AI Gen8 processor, and features like FreeSync for smoother gameplay, too. All in all, for under $600, this is a solid option for most people who want something huge, without the massive pricetag.

Key features of this LG 75-inch QNED TV

QNED display

This is a QNED display, which means it combines Quantum Dot, NanoCell color filtering, and mini-LED backlight to produce picture quality that’s accurate, has great contrast, and is very bright. These types of TVs are ideal for well-lit rooms, and those who want top-tier quality, but without the hefty price tag of an OLED, for instance.

Alpha 7 AI processor Gen 8

This TV features the powerful, mid-range Alpha 7 AI processor Gen 8, which primarily improves and enhances picture and audio quality on the go. Notable features here include 4K AI upscaling, which can take lower resolution content and make it appear near-4K, and features like Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro, which can further improve contrast.

60Hz refresh rate and gaming features

You’ve got a 60Hz refresh rate here, which is appropriate if you’re gaming on most mid-range consoles, or a pretty decent 4K-ready gaming PC. To help keep everything running smoothly, it also has FreeSync, which is there to help eliminate screen tearing and stutter. There’s an LG Game Optimizer to reduce input lag, a Game Dashboard to monitor fps on-screen, and more, too.

Filmmaker mode

A big win for movie nights, as this setting automatically preserves the framerates, color, contrast, and other picture settings that the film Director orginally intended, meaning you’re getting as close to watching it in the cinema as possible, but from your own home.

Things to consider

This is a bit of a bargain for a 75-inch TV, and it’s ideal for everyday usage and gaming, but it wouldn’t be my first pick for PS5 or very high-end gaming PCs. There are a couple of reasons for this, but it basically comes down to its lower native refresh rate and lack of higher-tier FreeSync. If you want something for PS5 or a high-end 4K gaming PC, go for an HDMI 2.1, 120Hz 4K TV with AMD FreeSync Premium, or preferably, FreeSync Premium Pro, which is designed for smoother HDR gaming. For something affordable, relatively speaking, some of Hisense’s and TCL’s mini-LEDs are well worth checking out, and they’re often on sale.
