What we like about this LG 32-inch Ultrafine 6K monitor
6K resolution and 32 inches is outstanding for serious creative professionals
There are a few strong benefits of having 6K resolution and 32 inches, with the most obvious being that it allows for full 4K video editing, and enough space for tools and various creative application UIs, too. On top of that, its incredibly high pixel density allows for top-end accuracy when it comes to graphic design, precision drawing, and photo editing and retouching, and much more. Overkill for most, but a game-changer for creative professionals.
Outstanding color for a wide range of creative uses
This monitor has a DisplayHDR 600 certification, which basically indicates that its HDR performance (color, peak brightness, and contrast ratio) is well above that of a typical monitor. In this case, you’ve got excellent coverage for different types of creative work, like 99.5% Adobe RGB for photography and print, and 98% DCI-P3 for film editing to modern digital cinema standards.
Advanced connectivity and Thunderbolt 5
Thunderbolt 5 is twice as fast as Thunderbolt 4, and basically allows you to daisy chain multiple monitors with a single cable, and deliver 96W of power for charging devices. You’ve also got HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1, and USB-C ports, giving you loads of connectivity options.
60Hz refresh rate and 0.5ms response time
It may not be the best gaming monitor on the market, but this refresh rate and response time are good enough to ensure smooth on-screen motion at up to 60fps at 6K, with minimal motion blur and ghosting, which is more than enough in this case, considering its primary usage isn’t gaming.
Who should buy this LG 32-inch Ultrafine 6K monitor?
In short, if you’re a very serious creative professional and want something for extremely accurate, nuanced editing, and have the budget to spend, then this is a great way to go for the price. For most content creators, it’s going to be completely overkill, so if you’re a streamer and looking for something with good color accuracy and HDR performance to game and edit video on, I’d highly recommend looking at QD-OLED monitors instead.
