If you’re looking for a very cost-effective, but still impressive 65-inch TV, then this is the deal for you. For a limited time, this Hisense E6 Cinema Series TV is 33% off on Amazon, reduced from $549.99 to $376.99. For the price, you’re getting something pretty impressive here. It’s QLED, so it delivers excellent color and brightness, and it supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG, allowing you to experience movies and live broadcasts with accurate color, deep blacks, and bright highlights. It’s also got some gaming features, like VRR and ALLM, which make it a decent option for pairing with consoles or PCs, but mind you, it’s only 60Hz, so check out Hisense 120Hz models if you want something for 60fps+ gaming. All in all, though, for well under $400, this is a great TV for everyday usage, gaming, and watching movies without completely breaking the bank.

Key feature of this Hisense 65-inch E6 Cinema Series TV

QLED technology

This TV features QLED technology, so what you’re getting is something that’s more affordable than a mini-LED or OLED, but still boasts excellent color and brightness. Compared to traditional LED-LCD TVs, which you may encounter at very low prices and smaller sizes, these have a Quantum Dot layer in front of the TV’s LED backlight. This basically has a bunch of tiny particles that glow with precise, intense reds and greens, so, in short, you get better, more vibrant, accurate color, making for more lifelike picture quality.

HDR capabilities

This TV has excellent HDR support, including HLG, HDR 10+, and Dolby Vision. Basically, HLG is used in live broadcasting, and HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision are the premium formats for movies, all of which are for scene-specific optimization. What that means is that, rather than having one setting for a whole film, for example, the data the TV receives is much more complex, allowing for a much more dynamic color, contrast, and brightness, often much more in line with what the Director intended you to see.

60Hz and Game Mode Plus

This TV has a 60Hz refresh rate, making it decent for gaming on consoles or PCs that can hit 4K at up to 60fps, but not ideal for more powerful machines capable of 60fps+ at 4K. It does have VRR, which helps reduce screen tearing, and ALLM, which automatically reduces latency when it detects you’re using the TV for gaming. For the price, it’s not bad at all.

Ai-powered upscaling

As with most TVs nowadays, the chipset here uses AI to optimize the picture quality. The main focus is always on upscaling lower resolution content to near 4K, which is very important when you have larger screens like this one, but there are some other notable features, too. For example, AI Smooth Motion with MEMC, in particular, works to reduce motion blur and ghosting, allowing you to track what’s happening on screen more easily. This can look a little weird in movies, but it’s ideal for watching sports and even high fps gaming.

Things to consider

For the price, this is great, but I’d say the one area you may want to invest a little more in, and potentially downsize to keep things more affordable, would be a higher refresh rate. Opting for something with a 120Hz refresh rate is pretty much essential if you’ve got a good gaming PC or PS5, as it gives you a lot of headroom for higher fps gaming at 4K. These TVs also have more advanced gaming features, like AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, which significantly reduces screen tearing, as well as improves HDR gaming performance and helps keep everything smooth when fps dips below the TV’s bottom-end refresh rate. Hisense is still a great way to go for these types of TVs, so check out its other options if you’re curious, and our top 65-inch TV deals below.
